Family over everything. I hear the term coined a lot and to some it means more than it does to others. Family means everything to me, nothing else in the world matters more than these very people. I could go on and on, but I won't bore you (I hope I haven't been too cheesy with this).

Today we spent our entire Black Friday (yes, from one morning to the next) hanging out and exploring San Diego. Our day started off with a trip to Coronado Island. Here we spent a couple of hours on the beach and then walked around the city, stopping by at an old-fashioned diner for a quick bite before heading back to Downtown SD.

Our first stop in Downtown was Extraordinary Desserts. Heaven, needless to say.

We went to Target afterwards so I could buy some painkillers for my headache. Afterwards, Phil's BBQ and a random sushi restaurant was what we had for dinner before heading home. Upon leaving San Diego, the freeway was incredibly foggy, to the point where I couldn't see 10-15 feet in front of my car. It was really eerie, but calming. And unfortunately, through all the excitement of the day, I forgot to take anymore pictures except for what you see, so you'll just have to take my word for it!

I had the great opportunity yesterday to see two bands, The Cults and Lord Huron. The concert was at the Geffen Contemporary in Little Tokyo, which offered great views all around, and the open atmosphere meant we could enjoy the cool summer night.

Hi! From us to you.
I do not believe there are enough emojis in that post.
Lord Huron's front man and guitarist.
The Cults' front woman.
The girls were able to get a hold of the set list.
Jennifer always finds a way to sneak a pose into my pictures hehe.
DTLA, awesome view!
After we had dinner, Annie spotted the band walking by us and so we chased them down to have a photo.
We went to see the Urban Lights at LACMA afterwards.
Yes, we see you.
This picture perfectly sums up our relationship. She gets mad because I am obviously cooler than her.

One random fact about me is that I love the outdoors. More specifically, I love the mountains, the rolling clouds, the lush and tall trees, and the great beautiful lakes. A place I have always wanted to visit was Alaska, because everything I have ever envisioned about the place fits that very description. I love its sleepy waterfront towns, its cold and rainy weather, and all the sights, sounds and smells that the landscape has to offer. Here are some pictures of my recent trip to the Last Frontier state and some of Victoria B.C. as well!

Our first stop after a few days at sea was the town of Juneau.

The next day, we traveled north into Skagway, where we took a train
to White Pass summit, at the US/Canada border.

A disused bridge that crosses an enourmously deep valley.

A couple of days after, we then headed southwards into Ketchikan.

Here's some random photos from around Victoria B.C. on my return trip.

Cool little alleyway chock full of small shops I found while exploring Downtown Victoria.
